What types of gut issues do you treat?
We work with patients experiencing bloating, gas, reflux, constipation, diarrhea, food sensitivities, abdominal discomfort, and other signs of gut dysfunction, even when conventional testing or treatment hasn’t provided clear answers.
Do I need a diagnosis like IBS or SIBO to work with you?
No. Many patients come to us without a formal diagnosis. Our focus is on identifying the underlying drivers of digestive dysfunction rather than treating symptoms based only on a label.
What’s the difference between food allergies and food sensitivities?
Food allergies are immediate immune reactions that can be severe or life-threatening. Food sensitivities are delayed immune responses that may contribute to symptoms like bloating, fatigue, headaches, skin issues, or inflammation.
How do you test for gut dysfunction?
Depending on your case, we may use advanced GI testing, microbiome analysis, intestinal permeability testing, food sensitivity panels, and targeted bloodwork to evaluate digestive function, inflammation, and immune activity.
Do you treat leaky gut?
Yes. We support patients with signs of increased intestinal permeability, commonly called “leaky gut,” using targeted nutrition, gut lining support, and physician-guided functional medicine strategies.
What if I’ve already tried an elimination diet?
Elimination diets can help temporarily, but recurring symptoms often suggest deeper dysfunction. We create structured, personalized plans designed to identify and address the root cause of ongoing gut issues.
How long does it take to see improvement?
Some patients notice improvements within a few weeks, while more complex gut health cases may take several months of phased care. Our goal is long-term digestive stability, not temporary symptom relief.
Will I need to avoid certain foods permanently?
Not usually. Our goal is to improve tolerance and reduce reactivity over time. When appropriate, foods are strategically reintroduced as gut function and immune balance improve.
Is your approach just about diet?
No. We evaluate gut health through a systems-based approach that includes digestion, microbiome balance, inflammation, immune function, hormone health, and gut-brain signaling.
Is gut health treatment covered by insurance?
We do not bill insurance directly for physician services. However, some lab tests or prescriptions may qualify for HSA or FSA reimbursement. Care is delivered through a structured membership model with physician oversight.
